How long have you been DJing?
I became a professional DJ in 2004 here in Raleigh, NC. I have DJ'd several weddings, private parties and performed at multiple clubs in downtown Raleigh.

Will you take requests at our event?
Absolutely. I can't guarantee that I will get to all requests but I will certainly try to incorporate the ones that I feel fit into the flow and what I have previously discussed with you (client) in our pre-planning sessions. Keep in mind, not every requested song is a good song so I will use my judgment.

Can we build a list of songs to play and more importantly, DO NOT play?
Yes! In fact I encourage my clients to use the planning tools on my website to make it easier on them and provide “peace of mind” knowing that we are all on the same page. There is a Music Database that allows you (client) to pick “Must Have's” as well as, DO NOT play.

What type of equipment do you use and do you have lights?
All my equipment is professional DJ equipment:
Pioneer DDJ-SX2 Controller w/Serato
Mackie 12” Powered Speakers
Lenovo ThinkPad 13 Notebook
I'm sorry, I do not offer a lighting package.

How is payment handled. How do we book K Nine Entertainment?
In order to book my services you will fill out and sign the contract. At that time there is a deposit that is due and the remaining balance is paid either in advance (your choice) or the evening that services are rendered. Payments can be made via Cash, Check or Venmo.

Do you typically tip the DJ?
This is totally up to you (client). The DJ is providing a service and if you feel that the service they offered was exceptional and you are compelled to tip then that is acceptable. Typically, when a tip is awarded it is between 10-20% of the overall contract fee. Gratuity can be handled at the end of the event or calculated beforehand and included in your final payment.

Do you just play music or also provide MC duties?
When you hire K Nine Entertainment you are getting a professional DJ service which includes the music but more importantly, the MC for the evening.
